LOGODI hosted the ‘LOGODI Global Forum 2023’ under the theme of ‘The Role and Tasks of Government Officials Training Institutions for Future Governments in the AI Era.’

The ‘LOGODI Global Forum’ has been an annual event since 2019, bringing together leaders from government officials training institutions worldwide to discuss pertinent issues, share current developments, showcase example cases in relevant fields and foster a stronger network among participants.

More than 60 individuals participated in the hybrid type forum, including heads of training institutions from 11 countries such as Laos, India and Tanzania, as well as HRD officials, LOGODI alumni, and local government officials.

At the 5th LOGODI Global Forum held this year, Dr. M. Jae Moon, a professor at Yonsei University, delivered a keynote speech on ‘Challenges of Digital Platform-Based Local Governments and HRD in the AI Era.’

During the panel discussion, representatives from Mongolia, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and the Philippines delivered presentations and facilitated in-depth discussions on the ‘Digital Competence of Government Officials and Emerging Challenges.’

Meanwhile, participants from Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Korea and Uganda engaged in the second panel discussion titled ‘Case Sharing on Achievements through International Cooperation.’

Following the forum, participants who attended in person engaged in interactions with Korean officials through special lectures. They also visited various institutions including the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Government, the Human Resources Development Institute of the Korea Water Resources Corporation and a prominent South Korean internet conglomerate, Naver Corporation.

Mr. Nalaka Kaluwewe, Director General of Sri Lanka Institute of Development and Administration (SLIDA) said, “It was beneficial to expand the network between institutions and share various cases through the LOGODI Forum, and we hope for win-win development through continuous engagement in the future.”
