LOGODI-NAOG Discuss about the Further Exchange and Cooperation
on Public Officials’ Education and Training

Ryu Im-chul, President of LOGODI, visited Mongolia from August 30 to September 2 to discuss ways to further cooperation between LOGODI and the National Academy of Governance (NAOG).Ryu Im-chul, President of LOGODI, visited Mongolia from August 30 to September 2 to discuss ways to further cooperation between LOGODI and the National Academy of Governance (NAOG).

To foster more intensive cooperation in the future, NAOG invited LOGODI to participate in the workshop on monitoring and evaluation of training programs and asked the President of LOGODI to give a special lecture.

Starting with signing an MOU in 2002, LOGODI and NAOG has been actively working together to strengthen the capacity of professors and civil servants for the past two decades.

※ Outcomes of cooperation between LOGODI and Mongolia: A total of 47 training programs for 2,436 people (including professors of NAOG and local government officials, as of July 2023)

On August 31, warmly welcomed by the Rector of NAOG, Dr. Surenchimeg Dulamsuren, LOGODI delegation participated in the workshop along with 12 officials in total. They engaged in active discussion on how to expand bilateral cooperation and assessed the effect of training programs. Attendees further discussed diverse educational methods, which are mainly real-time virtual training, blended learning and cyber training, flipped learning (conducting short-term invitational training in connection with a preceding virtual learning), explored ways to expand Mongolian government-funded programs.

The next day, about 150 central and local government officials attended a special lecture by the President of LOGODI, which was broadcast live online. The LOGODI president shared the current status of Korea's personnel system and education and training.

At the following alumni reunion, designed to contribute to strengthening the network between LOGODI and its alumni, the delegation listened to the voice of alumni about the personal and organizational development experiences and how training contents have been applied to work.

The three-day visit served as an opportunity to solidify the relationship between Korea and Mongolia, which has been accumulated for over 20 years. It also helped to objectively assess what such mutual cooperation have achieved so far and identified measures for improvement to be applied in the future training programs.

In addition, through the visit, LOGODI delegation now have better understanding of local conditions and demands in Mongolia, based on which LOGODI will be ble to design and operate programs more suitable to Monglolia’s national development plan in the future.
