Leap and Future Development Process Based on Science and Technology

In the face of global challenges such as climate change and pandemics, science and technology represent crucial solutions for overcoming humanity's pressing issues and crises. The national level of scientific and technological advancement is directly tied to global leadership. Science and technology have become core elements in decision-making across various sectors of national governance including economy, industry, society, health, welfare, environment, labor, and public policy. Political science and technology based on scientific thinking are rapidly evolving fields that require the ability to grasp the latest trends and formulate policies. Therefore, these abilities have become essential competencies for today's public officials.

In response to these contemporary demands, LOGODI conducted an education session titled "Leap and Future Development Process Based on Science and Technology" last May, targeting 21 central and local government officials in South Korea.

The training program, especially structured with courses on generative AI such as Chat GPT, received high praise from participants. This reflects the educational demand among public officials to adapt to the administrative environment's digital transformation, often referred to as the era of digital transition. The lectures covered the direction of AI industry development, policy opportunities and risks associated with AI, and future response strategies.

Participants evaluated this education session as a valuable opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of science and technology-based policies and to contemplate how rapidly evolving scientific and technological advancements can be applied to their work.
