Local Talent Development Forum for Exploring Al Mobilization in Public Officer Training

Against the backdrop of AI technology driving innovation across diverse sector, the LOGODI recently convened the '2024 Local Talent Development Forum' on March 27^th. The event invited education officials and public officers from metropolitan local governments alongside academic experts.

The forum aimed to share best cases of how Korean educational institutions are utilizing AI technology and to discuss teaching methods and training strategies using AI.

Professor Park Nam-gi from Gwangju National University of Education delivered a keynote speech on the direction of digital-based future Human Resource Development(HRD), presenting real-time training cases and educational strategies for the era of generative AI. Professors including Ahn Byeong-gyu from Chonnam National University introduced examples from various educational institutions, discussing how AI supports educational operations and transforming the methods of work.

Key highlights from the forum include :
Firstly, Professor Ahn Byeong-gyu showcased Chat GPT to enhance class quality, reduce preparation time by 80%, and enable personalized learning for students.
Secondly, Professor Seo Kyung-won from Seoul National University of Science and Technology emphasized improving educational productivity through AI-human collaboration and the importance of AI literacy education to combat misinformation and enhance AI utilization skills.
Thirdly, Professor Kim Yong-sung from Chungnam National University explained the impact of AI technology on jobs and proposed methods to enhance work efficiency. He also suggested a way to improve public officials' work efficiency through image generation and data analysis with AI solutions.

The forum discussed the utilization and effects of AI technology in public official education, emphasizing the importance of educational data analysis and providing personalized learning. It provided an opportunity to discuss the influence of AI technology on public official education and share ideas for future roles and directions.

The LOGODI has been integrating big data and AI into all educational programs to drive innovative changes in the public sector, enhancing capabilities for Korean local government officials to respond rapidly changing public administration environments.
