Capacity Building Program for Mongolian Local Public Officers
LOGODI hosted a 7-day education and training program from April 21 to 27, 2024, inviting 12 Mongolian local government officials and senior officials from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. The program aimed to share Korea's excellent administrative experiences including digital government and public service improvement. Alongside lectures, consultations and discussions were conducted on how Mongolian local government officials could apply these practices in their work.
The program included study visits to exemplary sites such as Jeonju Hanok Village, renowned for its preservation of traditional culture and its contribution to local economic revitalization. Participants also visited Sejong City Integrated Center and the Digital Government Exhibition Hall which showed Korea's outstanding local administration practices in digital government and public services.
Currently, the Mongolian govenment is promoting "Good Governance", focusing on e-government and the development of capable public officials as a part of its long-term national development strategies. Feedback from participants indicated a continued need for such training programs targeted at Mongolian local government officials. They also expressed their intention to share the knowledge gained from the training with their colleagues and apply it to their work.
