LOGODI Shares Korea’s Administrative Innovation Cases with
Mongolian Local Government Officials

From April 24th (Mon.) to April 28th (Fri.), LOGODI hosted a capacity building program for 12 Mongolian senior officials from 11 different local governments and the Cabinet Secretariat of Mongolia.

This program was originally established in 2013 by the request of the Mongolian government. Since then, the program has reserved for Mongolian local municipality chiefs, however, along with the expansion of virtual training from 2020, it was expanded to encompass senior officials in Mongolia’s local governments as well.

The program was resumed as an in person format, so, LOGODI closely cooperated with Mongolian government to create a training curriculum focused on combination between theory and practical application to improve the effectiveness of training.
To achieve this goal, LOGODI analyzed training needs including topics which were collected from participants who participated in the year 2022 program and had an intensive consultation with the Cabinet Secretariat of Mongolia.

In line with the Mongolian national development strategy, LOGODI withdrew 4 major topics to contribute to the modernization and enhancement of its local government and improve the public service delivery such as ▴ Local Administration, ▴Enhancement of Public Service through e-Government and ICT, ▴Policy Design and Management, and ▴ Performance Evaluation and HRM In addition, along with lectures LOGODI arranged site visits to witness the activation of government policy based on each subjects.

Those were ▴ Wanjugun county government (winner of the innovative local govenrments) ▴Suncheonman international garden (good case of eco-tourism and vitalization of the local economy) and ▴e-Government experience center where one can review the development process and surretn status of Korea’s e-government and its administrative achievement in public service delivery.

LOGODI has been sharing Korea’s best cases of regilanl development & local administration with Mongolian local government officials and does it utmost to contribute to the achievement of SDGs in Mongolia.
