I am Dr Nirmalya Bagchi, Director General of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, India.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), located in Hyderabad, India, was the first to offer post-experience management education in the country. It was established in the year 1956. ASCI trains corporate executives, administrators, entrepreneurs, and academics to synthesize managerial theory and practice and to respond to the ever-increasing complexity of managerial issues confronting government, industrial enterprises, and non-governmental organisations.

You'd all agree that the COVID-19 pandemic taught us a lot. The pandemic prepared us to face future challenges by paving the way for us to prepare for those challenges and continue our work. It hastened the adoption of digital technologies. We have all collectively responded to this challenge of the pandemic and should be proud of it. We must now prepare for a post-pandemic brave new world with myriad new challenges and opportunities.

Taking this opportunity, let me look back LOGODI-ASCI cooperation in 2022.

The Indian government planned an ambitious mission to commemorate India's 100th year of independence in 2047. LOGODI with the support of ASCI designed and conducted an online capacity building programme to meet the country's needs in training government officials in order to assist the Government of India in achieving its goals in the era of digital transformation.

The programme was conducted during April 12-15, 2022 and titled "Leadership Development Programme for Urban Local Bodies in India: Lessons and Good Practices from South Korea."

LOGODI also helped ASCI and the Department of Administrative Reforms, Govt. of India in organizing an online workshop at the sidelines of the third meeting of the Vision India@2047 Working Group of the Govt. of India. This online event was held on March 3, 2022, on the “Future of Government in the Era of Digital Transformation and Pandemic”. In 2022, we have benefited from the collaboration of ASCI and LOGODI. I am sure LOGODI has played a supportive role in your growth too.
