Finding the Right Jobs and Talent with ‘Employment AI’
The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Kim Younghoon) issued four new “AI-powered employment services” designed to support job seekers and employers. The announcement was made on September 12 during the [Open Talk on AI Employment Services] held at the Seoul Employment Center.
The newly introduced services include four key features: an AI-based aptitude test, data-driven employment probability analysis, AI-recommended training programs for job seekers, and an AI-powered job posting generator for employers. Together, these services aim to provide job seekers with faster job matching and help companies recruit the right talent more accurately.
For job seekers, the system analyzes interests and aptitudes
to recommend the TOP 5 most suitable occupations, while also assessing their probability of employment within six months and identifying the core skills required. In addition, it automatically suggests personalized training courses to strengthen areas where job seekers may need improvement, making job preparation more efficient.
For employers, the platform allows companies to simply input basic hiring conditions such as job category and working conditions. The AI then automatically generates a detailed job posting that includes job descriptions, required qualifications, technical skills, and preferred experience. This feature is expected to save companies valuable time in preparing postings while enabling them to hire the right talent more quickly.
Reactions from job seekers and employers who have already tried the new AI services have been highly positive. One job seeker, Ms.Lee, shared that the AI-based career aptitude test and employment probability analysis gave her confidence in setting her career path. She added that the system’s tailored recommendations for jobs, training programs, and certifications significantly reduced the time she needed to prepare for employment. Meanwhile, Mr.Yoon, CEO of a small business, noted that his company urgently needed to hire for a new project. With the AI job posting generator, he was able to create a detailed announcement with ease, and through AI talent matching, he successfully recruited the right candidate.
Alongside the announcement, the Ministry of Employment and Labor also released the [AI Employment Service Roadmap] (2025-2027), outlining its phased strategy for rolling out the new services.
In this year, under the name “JobCare+,” the ministry will establish a one-stop employment support service tailored to job seekers. This will include an AI-based career aptitude test, employment probability analysis, AI training recommendations, and AI-powered job matching.
In 2026, the focus will expand to employers through a service called “Firmcare.” This platform will provide one-stop hiring support by enabling AI-generated and verified job postings, employment probability analysis, AI-driven talent recommendations, and access to an AI-powered recruitment marketplace.
By 2027, the ministry plans to complete a fully integrated AI-based employment and labor service system. This “Employment AI” platform will support AI-powered career counseling as well as employment and labor consultations, completing the vision for an intelligent, nationwide employment service.
Experts at the event emphasized that the new AI employment services will serve as a key tool for enhancing personalized job support for individuals and improving hiring efficiency for companies. They also noted that, when combined with various employment administration data, the services could lead to innovative improvements in the labor market.
Minister Kim Younghoon, “Through the AI Employment Service Roadmap, the government will provide citizens with tailored employment support and much more job opportunities, while helping companies achieve faster and more efficient recruitment. This initiative will mark a significant step forward in advancing the nation’s employment service.”
