AI Based Task Support System
On August 29 (Tuesday), the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) under Minister Lee Sang-min announced that it will introduce 'AI-based task support services' to the cross-government data analysis system (hereinafter referred to as "the Analysis System"), which has been in operation since March, 2023.
The Analysis System was designed to provide customized analysis tools, diverse data analysis models to public officials and employees of public institutions. It has gained wisespread use in the public sector with a user base of 110,000.
The new AI-based task support services will include features such as automatic generation of meeting minutes for central and local governments, as well as early detection of potential issues through social data analysis.
First of all, a character recognition service using AI-based speech recognition, text analysis, and image scanning technologies will be introduced. These functions will allow automatic identification of speakers in a meeting once videos and audio files of such meetings are uploaded, enabling auto generation of meeting minutes. Furthermore, when combined with the text analysis, frequently mentioned words in the meeting can be identified and the sentiment of the meeting can be analyzed to visualize the overall atmosphere of the meeting.
Additionally, the social data analysis service, which has been provided through the Analysis System will be enhanced. Extracted social data from news, blog posts, and bulletin boards will not only show frequently used words but also be analyzed to provide a 'Future Signal Analysis Service,' which detects signals that may become potential issues based on the trend of how certain words are mentioned more frequently.
The scale of resources necessary for analysis will also be improved in terms of quantity and quality. The specialized analysis environment, which was previously provided for 10 organizations, will now be available for 50 organizations. The analysis environment will be provided in an integrated format to cover data pre-processing and analysis as well as development and dissemination of models.
MOIS plans to complete the adoption of the renewed Analysis System by March this year. The Analysis System will come with various user-friendly AI-based services and more extensive analysis resources.
The renewed Analysis System will improve how public officials work and develop data-based administration, thus helping to ensure that citizens can enjoy the benefits of policies better than before.
