It is my distinct honor to address you as the newly inaugurated 61^st President of the Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI) of the Republic of Korea.

As we mark the year 2025, we celebrate a significant milestone—the 60^th anniversary of LOGODI. Since our founding in 1965, we have remained steadfast in our mission to serve as the central institute for the education and training of local government officials. Our focus has been on nurturing local talent and strengthening the capabilities of both domestic and international officials at the forefront of local administration.

LOGODI has made great strides in expanding international educational cooperation and sharing Korea’s developmental experiences and administrative expertise globally. By 2024, we have successfully trained nearly 7,000 officials from 89 nations, building a strong foundation for mutual progress through sustained cooperation and knowledge exchange.

In response to the evolving landscape of public administration, we are continuously adapting our educational programs to address emerging challenges. This includes integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, ensuring public administrators are equipped with the skills necessary for the modern era.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to developing innovative educational initiatives. Our focus will be on advanced pedagogical methods, tailored learning programs, and practice-oriented curricula—all designed to enhance the professional competencies of government officials across the globe.

LOGODI is also determined to deepen international exchange and cooperation, aiming to establish itself as a leading global institute for public administration education through the expansion of our international network.
