From the President's Desk
Greetings! I am Lim Sang-kyu, the 60th President of the Local Government Officials Development
Institute(LOGODI) in the Republic of Korea.
Korea has made "Building Livable Local Communities across the Country" a core national goal for
development, exerting full efforts for balanced national development centered around local
regions. Since its establishment in 1965, LOGODI has been the central institute for the
education and training of local government officials, fostering core talents who lead regional
development.
Drawing on our extensive experience in education and training, we also operate international
education programs aimed at sharing Korea's economic development model and enhancing
administrative capabilities for foreign public officials. As of 2023, 6,800 public officers from
89 countries have completed 214 courses through our public officials training program.
We have signed MOUs with educational institutions in 8 countries to promote exchange and
cooperation, and we are committed to expanding our global network and adapting to changing
administrative environments such as digital innovation.
Next year, LOGODI will celebrate the 60th anniversary. We will analyze the
educational achievements of the past 60 years, redefine our future development directions, and
provide top-notch education and training programs to elevate ourselves to a world-class
institute for public officials' education.
We look forward to continued interest and cooperation.
Thank you.
