Greetings from the President
- Dear alumni,
It is with much pleasure on this fresh day of spring to deliver my greetings to you as the 54th president of LOGODI.
As with the change of seasons, new leadership brings a new chapter here at LOGODI. Since its establishment in 1965, this institution has contributed to Korea’s national development by fostering the leaders of its local governments. In a nation where people are our most precious resource, I am committed to carrying on this legacy with a clear set of aims.
LOGODI’s domestic programs are helping to spread to every Korean official our national policy tasks, which include the four consolidated innovative tasks of fostering a job-creating economy, nurturing innovative startups, overcoming the demographic challenges, and promoting autonomous decentralization and balanced national development. These officials will be the ones to bring about innovation and change amid the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Through our international programs, LOGODI is sharing with officials from overseas our nation’s experience and tailoring program curricula to a range of training needs. It is you and they who lead the continuous advancement of your countries. Each one of you is in an 88-country network of alumni who have taken part in the training that LOGODI has carried out for the last two decades. The immense work you have put in—during this training and afterward in your countries—continues to take shape.
Despite our separation in time and distance, LOGODI’s connection to you is as strong as ever. We are listening to your progress, reconnecting with you through on-site training, and partnering with your training institutions.
I look forward to seeing what more we can achieve together in this new season and chapter.
