From June 20 to 24, LOGODI operated the second round of the 3-year (2021-2023) Capacity Development Program for National School of Local Administration (NASLA) for NASLA’s faculty and administrators.
Implementing its Rectangular Strategy and Public Administration Reform, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) prioritizes human capital development over any other tasks. In accordance with the local autonomy and decentralization policy, gradual transfer of central power to local government is expected. Inevitably, local government officials capacity enhancement will be needed.
That is why the Cambodian government established NASLA. Even though its campus is still under construction, NASLA has already began its training program for local government officials and has set up its organizational structure.
This year, LOGODI supported NASLA by sharing its know-how encompassing training needs analysis, teaching methodology, organization and roles of institutions, management changes etc.
In addition, LOGODI invited Dr. Byambayar Yadamsuren, Dean of Training Policy at the National Academy of Governance (NAOG), Mongolia to share the development experiences of NAOG.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Yoon Jong-jin, President of LOGODI said, “I hope this program will enable NASLA faculty and staff to improve their capacity to play a role of a stepping stone for local development”
