LOGODI conducted its first capacity development program for Indian government officials and faculty members of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) from April 12 to 15, 2022.
The government of India is said to be planning an ambitious mission for the year 2047, which marks the 100th year of India’s independence.
In the last 2 decades, a large number of local governments in India have implemented many reforms to help citizens to easily access public service as well as to improve the service quality. And now, the Indian government wants to carry out the next phase of reform to ensure that the country continues to achieve its growth target and eventually becomes a developed country.
To support India in accomplishing its goal in the era of digital transformation, LOGODI designed a capacity building program in partnership with the ASCI to meet the country’s needs in training government officials.
For 4 days, participants received lectures on Korea’s digital government innovation, public service delivery using ICT, cyber security etc. They also joined a seminar about the tasks and challenges of building a smart city.
In the post-program survey, all participants left positive responses in terms of their capacity development, stating that the program was timely and beneficial.
Dr. Nrmalya Bagchi, Director-General of the ASCI expressed his wish to benchmark Korea’s experiences and host more discussions with faculty and students to stimulate innovative ideas.
