LOGODI Delivers Its First Online International Training Program

From September 2 to 8, 2020. LOGODI carried out the Local Administration Development Program (LADP) 2020 for a delegation of 13 local government officials from the Asia-Pacific region, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, and Vietnam.

As the first online international training program, LOGODI operated the program through a video conferencing platform, which allowed real-time feedback on the interests and engagement of the participants.

Focusing on strengthening their leadership, LOGODI customized the program for the participants to improve their capacity in responding to COVID-19 and preparing for the post-coronavirus era through a series of special lectures, such as the role of local government, the response measures to the COVID-19, good governance and innovation, local autonomy in the post-pandemic era, transparency in public administration, and more.

Also, the participants had two case-based webinars and shared best practices in the local administration of each participating country and Korean local governments. The participants and delegates of Korean local government officials presented a total of 16 case studies, categorized in four subjects; a) Citizen Participation, b) HRM & Public Administration, c) Regional Development, d) Citizen Participation & Intergovernmental Cooperation.

During the closing ceremony, Mr. Park Jae-min, the former President of LOGODI, gave farewell remarks with a heartfelt appreciation for their sincere commitments during the program and asked their continued support for LOGODI.

In reply to the farewell remarks, Ms. Tra Thi Xuan Nguyen, Deputy Head of Administration & Organization, Dak Lak Province in Vietnam, thanked LOGODI for the rich learning experience throughout the program.
