From the President's Desk
As we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the LOGODI's international program operation, I
would like to share my appreciation with all of you, who are the key stakeholders of the
international programs and cooperation of the LOGODI for the past 20 years.
Since 2000, the LOGODI has carried out 186 international training programs for about 5,300
foreign government officials from 89 countries. Particularly, the LOGODI launched the first
annual global forum, LOGODI Global Forum 2019, with 12 heads of government officials training
institutes around the world. This year, the LOGODI will host its second forum in Korea from
September 7 through 11.
The Korean government is moving forward with its one of foreign policies to create a responsible
Northeast Asia Plus Community (a more consolidated partnership with neighboring countries),
including New Northern Policy (NNP), New Southern Policy (NSP), and Platform for Peace and
Cooperation. In addition, the Korean government views Africa as one of major partners and
contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In this regard, the LOGODI will focus on the leadership development of local government
officials, who play a crucial role in the creative problem-solving process of government
innovation and decentralization. Also, it will continue cooperation projects with other training
institutes, both domestically and internationally.
Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for all your support and ask for
continued warm affection. We look forward to successful cooperation in the future!
Thank you.
