On February 12, 2020, the LOGODI held commencement ceremonies of five ten-month programs
respectively for a total of 383 senior and managerial officials from local governments in Korea.
The five programs are Senior Policy Managers (42), Senior Leaders (114), Junior Leaders (140),
Global Leaders (21), and Women Leaders (66) programs. Each program is designed to foster the
long-term program participants to reinforce the relevant capacity and leadership skills suitable to
their prospective positions. For the next 10 months, each program will carry out a curriculum, which
is designed to meet the specific needs of respective program.
Each program started with a 3-day special orientation activity composed of many components,
including icebreaker for team building, the review of the program, discussion of ideas and visions,
and setting a positive mindset. The participants motivated each other to find values and goals by
sharing their experiences and knowledge through the activity.
Especially, the International Training & Cooperation Division is responsible for one of the
long-term programs, Global Leaders Program. In February 2016, the program was launched to satisfy
the special demands in terms of international cooperation and services in local governments. The
division ran the program to strengthen the global competitiveness and communicative abilities of
local government officials (Grade 5 and 6). This year, the LOGODI has 21 participants for the fifth
of its kind.
